The Simpsons creators predicated that Donald Trump would be president 16 years ago, but only as a warning to Americans.

In an episode which aired back in 2000, Lisa becomes President of the United States, talking over from ‘President Trump’.

“We’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump,” she says while sitting in the Oval Office.

Simpsons writer Dan Greaney recently told The Hollywood Reporter that the episode was meant to show a vision of the country ‘going insane’.

 ‘It was a warning to America,” he said. “That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. 

“It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.

 "What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that's why we had Trump be president before her."

 
Show creator Matt Groening told The Guardian: “We predicted that he would be president back in 2000 – but (Trump) was of course the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time, and that’s still true.

"It’s beyond satire."

The world awoke on Wednesday to discover that Groening’s ‘insane’ vision of a future American had in fact become reality as Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the US elections to become President of the United States.

A former Miss Universe, famed for boasting a full set of abs during her pregnancy, struggled to give birth because of how toned she is. Australian-based personal trainer Chontel Duncan had complications during labour because of her rock-hard stomach.
 
The 27-year-old was told by doctors that she'd have to have a c-section. And on Friday she shared on Instagram the fact that her muscular physique meant that she "locked" her baby in, and caused her to vomit.

“They struggled to rip Jeremiah from my tummy as my abs locked him in super tight as I began vomiting during the operation," she wrote. “This is why my scar was cut up on my right side because the surgeon had to cut me further and use forceps to successfully get Jeremiah out. “Perhaps a down-side to a strong core.”

Luckily, Chontel's son Jeremiah was delivered within 20 minutes, and didn't suffer. He was born in March, but the super-fit mum has only just shared the details of her difficult birth.

The personal trainer said that above all she's just happy to become a mother.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the special assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari said this when he received Niger Delta leaders.

“We are determined to make life comfortable and affordable to all Nigerians. If anybody has a country to go to, let him go, we will stay here and salvage our country.”

Speaking further, the President urged leaders of the region to join him in building the country.

“Please Your Excellencies, Your Majesties, Distinguished ladies and gentlemen; we all have our individual constituencies. Let us try to pacify our constituencies. 

Let us first recover our country, secure the country and let us invite people who will invest. Let us create jobs for our people and let us be accountable to our people where we are sitting on treasuries, whether it is local government, state or the center. We should ensure that we rebuild this country. 

Nobody wants to fail. So, the only way out is, if people understand and believe that we are doing our best at all levels, then we will have some peace. But it they have reason to doubt our performance and sincerity, then we will have problem”.

'MMM IS A FRAUDULENT SCHEME' CBN WARNS NIGERIANS AGAIN

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday again warned Nigerians against patronising what it called ‘wonder banks, stating that their activities were not regulated by it.

The Head, Consumer Protection Department, CBN, Hajiya Kadija Kassim, stated this during a mentoring programme for students of the Government Secondary School, Suleja, Niger State.

The apex bank’s warning is coming at a time when the huge unemployment situation in the country is making a lot of people to take interest in an online investment scheme tagged: ‘MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria’.

The platform has embarked on an aggressive online media campaign to lure the investing public to participate in what it called “mutual aid financial network,” with a monthly investment return of 30 per cent.

Kassim, while responding to a question asked by one of the students, described the scheme as fraudulent since it was not supported by any business model.

She said, “We have heard about the activities of MMM, but I want to warn you against it because they are wonder banks that are not regulated.

“Desist from their activities because they are fraudulent.”

The mentoring programme, which was held simultaneously in over 200 schools, was part of activities to mark the World Savings Day.

A Kenyan man, Charles Njiru, has caused serious uproar after he poured boiling water on his wife's thigh which almost burnt her private parts following a domestic quarrel. The 30-year-old Kenyan woman, Catherine Wakere, is currently reeling on her hospital bed.

Daily Nation reports that the mother of two from Kianamu Village in Embu County, was left with serious burns on her thighs and private parts and is currently on admission at the Siakago Level Four Hospital.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen, Wakere said what led to the assault was a minor disagreement between her and husband that could have been settled amicably but he went as far as pouring the hot water on her.

“He just scooped water that was boiling and splashed it on my thighs. He had aimed at my private parts, which were partly scalded,” she said.

Nyaga said the wound had deteriorated due to the lengthy stay without medication but her condition has since improved.

It was also learned that Wakere broke two fingers of her finger after she fell during the attack
A Nursing Officer at the hospital where Wakere is receiving treatment, Secinta Nyaga, disclosed that the woman's upper right thigh and her private parts had started developing infections when she was taken to the hospital.

The assault is currently causing an uproar in the Embu County with women rights groups calling for the arrest and prosecution of Njiru for the dastard attack.

Fuzzy faced Michael Legge has retained his title for the country’s longest beard at the British Beard and Moustache Championships in Liverpool.

Factory worker Michael, from Kimberworth, Rotherham, started growing his beard six years ago and it now measures 27 inches. Joked the father of two: “If I’m going out I can easily take longer than the wife to get ready because I have to wash, dry and oil my beard.”

Michael has been crowned Yorkshire beard champ several times and first won the UK's longest bear competition back in 2014.

He has even managed to bag seventh place in the international competition.
Michael has previously said he only started growing his beard as a bet with his mates.

He added:

"It was a bet with some mates to see who could go longest without shaving and one by one they all dropped out. I had no idea where it would lead. 

The next step I’d like to take is to make it a career. I know I’m not going to be the next Brad Pitt, but there’s demand for background roles. It’s a niche market.”

According to DailyPost, the comic merchant gave this advise in his latest comedy collection entitled ‘Comedy Clinic.’ The Delta-State comedian believes that the many problems currently facing Nigeria today boils down to religion.

“The only solution to our problems in Nigeria today is religion.
I will be the happiest person in the world if the federal government place a ban on giving of tithes and offerings from churches. 

I tell, we will continue to lament as long as these people keep collecting the little one we have in the name of offering.
